Beautiful house with a stunning garden and pool area. Sunsets overlooking the mountains was a highlight. The interior of the house has a lot of charm and character although it’s overshadowed by the exterior which was nothing short of majestic.

Outdoor space was fabulous and in such a quiet location too. Close enough to town, with an incredible selection of restaurants and coffee shops. Our hosts were super pleasant and friendly. Communication was excellent and we thank them for their hospitality. We visit the area frequently and are confident of a return visit to Villa Ruiz.

The views are exceptional. The property is large and from the covered veranda you get to survey the mountains in the distance over a spectacular. The airconditioning is really efficient and a life saver. The host is exceptionally attentive and responsive.

Owner is good as gold, place is like heaven. Do recommend.

The panoramic view across the valley and the hills is astonising. It is spacious villa with a beautifull garden and great swimming pool. Very nice and friendly owner, easy contact via WhatsApp. Very clean and well kept villa and garden.We could even stay a little longer on our departure day, since there was no successive rental.

we had a wonderful stay , the home looked really like it is a home , very welcoming, all kind of dishes we needed , for our desired cooking , some international books, lots of clean towels, dishwasher, washing machine etc . we were very happy with our stay . the owner also very friendly and responsive if we needed something. definitely a 5 star review

Excellent property, with fantastic outside space including lovely pool and plenty of seating and sun lounging areas. The views from this property and sun sets were amazing. The owner Juan was extremely helpful and we communicated via Google WhatsApp.It's about a 30 minute walk into a picturesque town with shops and bars. A car is necessary for travelling further afoot with some really lovely places to visit (Mihas, Coin, Marbella etc). Only 30 minute drive from the airport.We would highly recommend this villa.

Great place

Very enjoyable and relaxing 2 weeks in a lovely setting with beautiful views, especially at sunset. Lovely pool and outside space. Juan looked after us very well, making sure we had everything we needed at the property.Great restaurants nearby in the town. Very friendly locals speaking good English. 30 minutes to the nearest beaches. Playa Carvajal is one of nicest local beaches. We look forward to returning one day.

Really nice villa. The house is really cool as there are AC units in every room. It is much better in real life than in the photos. The outside dining area is perfect and the pool and surroundings are first rate. Sunsets here are truly amazing. I would highly recommend this villa to others.

I stayed at the villa at the start of October and the weather was amazing and the villa even more amazing with outstanding views and a warm cozy feel to the interior , the gardens and pool were beautifully kept and the owner was always available if needed Thanks for a fabulous week Mike

We have stayed several times in Alhaurin el Grande area and Villa Ruiz is clearly the best villa we have stayed in. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. The villa itself is spacious and beautiful and it's really clean. There is everything you need to have for a perfect holiday. Pool area is amazing, it's like in a hotel! Also the view from the pool and from the dining area is breathtaking. You can just sit there and admire the scenery. We enjoyed also the hiking trails just next to the villa in the Sierra de Mijas. Perfect place to have your morning walk. The villa is also very near to the city, it takes less than 30 mins to walk there or 5 mins by car.
There is nothing else we could ask for a holiday. We will definitely return. Muchas gracias to our wonderful property owner Juan, You made our stay just perfect!

It was three very nice weeks at Villa Ruiz.
The villa, the location, the cleanliness, the feel-good factor, the landlord, everything is great! I recommend a car, the supermarket in the next village is a stone's throw away, but also Malaga for shopping, or Torremolino for swimming by the sea can be reached in 30 minutes.
But you can also enjoy nature without a car and the hiking trails that start directly above Villa Ruiz.
One thing is clear, we will be back.
Note on the Covid 19 situation in May 2021. If you adhere to the applicable hygiene measures (mask required), there are currently practically no restrictions, everything is open. PCR test for entry into Spain (we drove by car) was mandatory but not checked.

A big villa, with a beautiful garden, overlooking the mountains. A stunning view from the good sized pool, which is right of the overroofed terrace of the house. Good privacy and security, the whole of the terrain is fenced in. Very nice owner, who came almost immeadatly, when there was a very slight problem with the airconditioning. Nice TV and good WIFI, although the range of the WIFE might be a bit better. (good on the terrace, further down in the garden at the end of the pool sometimes disconnecting). The owner doesn't speak English, but with all the translating apps nowadays, and a son who does speak it, this should not be a problem, it wasn't for us. Everything is provided for, towels, sheets, good kitchen aquipment. When driving the road to the villa is small, but no problem, we managed with a big stationcar. Definetly a place to come back to, I would certainly recommand. Also the personal of Cubo's, the rental office in Alhaurin, was very friendly, helpfull and they spoke several languages.

Lovely villa with a beautiful view and a beautiful garden. Stayed for two weeks, the location is very central so we have visited many places in Andalucia. Had a great holiday.

Where to begin? The photos on home away gave the impression of a secluded villa on an urbanisation. On driving through the gates the photos didn’t do Ruiz justice at all, we’ll get back to the outside.With it previously being a finca it’s quite dark inside and you have everything you need for your vacation . There’s loads of storage in the bedrooms. The bathroom is large and has a fantastic rain shower but you don’t go on holiday to sit inside.Back to outside, when you stand on the terrace the views are absolutely stunning, the vista of the mountains anytime of day is eye catching and the sunsets are every bit as good as anywhere. The gardens have been landscaped in a way that you have the impression that the garden and mountains are all yours . The gardens are beautifully tended, there are lemon and orange trees to pick from.There are 4 separate dining areas depending on the views you want. The pool is one of the biggest we’ve used , with it’s built in jacuzzi and is spotlessly clean. You can sunbathe all day, in fact until the sun sets. There was nothing better for us than sitting on the terrace with a drink just watching the sunset and watching the parrots and eagles flying.Juan the owner is a really nice guy, we met at a nearby hotel and accompanied us the villa, we were only there for a week but he came every 3rd day to clean the pool and water and tend the gardens so it’s kept immaculate.If you’re experienced in renting villasinexperienced then look no further villa Ruiz. You’ll have total seclusion then you’re only 5 minutes drive from Alhaurin for supermarkets and lovely eateries. In conclusion this is the best villa we’ve stayed in for almost the total package. It’s certainly hard to beat Maureen and Richie.

The villa leaves nothing to be desired. In the accommodation you can have a great time. On arrival the apartment was clean and the rest of the service was perfect.

“The property is great and it was very good. The location was ideal for us, 5 minutes from the town, but a very quiet private location. There are some noisy dogs nearby, but it didn’t bother us. The pool was bitingly cold, but we arrived in March, so hardly surprising. I would go back, which is saying something because I’ve never returned anywhere Good for kids (we have a 3yo and a baby), but not toddlers because there are a lot of steps and open access to the pool.

What a lovely Villa. The extensive garden area,with several choices of sitting/dining and the pool, were stunning. The view too was superb as was the location. Very secure and peaceful and not overlooked. We were met by the owner and his son and they were very friendly and helpful.There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Alhaurín el Grande which is a few minutes drive away. Also suggest a visit to beautiful Ronda which is about an hours scenic drive away. All in all, highly recommend. We loved it!!

Great villa with amazing pool and beautiful mountain view. Arrive and departure was without any problem. The house is big, ideal for 6 people stay. Very good barbecue area. For stay in this Villa car is necessary. We are very happy, that we choose Villa Ruiz.

" El hijo del dueño fue muy amable. La casa tenía una vista y probablemente no era tan vieja. Todo estaba muy bien cuidado. El jardín estaba muy bien distribuido. Desafortunadamente, las naranjas y los limones aún no estaban maduros. Puedes probar un higo. Estábamos en otoño y como estaba en las montañas, las nubes colgaban un poco (lo que hacía que fuera un poco más fresco), pero también tuvimos algunos días de buen tiempo. Había un montón de toallas y toallas de baño disponibles. Fue una super casa !!"

Una villa preciosa. Mucho gusto en los detalles de la villa (piscina, jardín, porche, etc....) Vistas increíbles. Y el trato con el propietario excelente.

Superbe villa, spacieuse et avec une vue magnifique. Nous avons apprécié la dimension de la piscine et les aménagements extérieurs. Nous y étions au calme, à l'abri des regards. C était très reposant. Nous avons également apprécié l entretien régulier de la piscine et le changement du linge de lit et des serviettes une fois par semaine. Service impeccable!
J en profite pour remercier le propriétaire pour sa disponibilité et ses très bons conseils de restaurants. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour.

Heerlijke villa met schitterend uitzicht en een prachtige tuin.Twee weken verbleven, de ligging is heel centraal dus we hebben veel plaatsen bezocht in Andalusie.Top vakantie gehad.

"Nach dem Treffen mit dem Hauseigentümer in Alhaurin el Grande (übrigens ein sehr nettes Städtchen mit kleinen Gassen, Häusern im andalusischen Stil und Restaurants und Bars wir waren positiv überrascht), hat er uns zum Haus begleitet und alles gezeigt. Das Haus war in einem perfekten Zustand. Alles sehr sauber! Der Eigentümer war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Hat uns sogar Mandarinen von den Bäumen hinter dem Haus geschenkt (sehr lecker). Das Haus liegt an einem Hang mit einem grandiosen Fernblick auf das Tal. Die Poollandschaft ist sehr schön, überall tolle und sehr gepflegte Pflanzen, Palmen und Hecken. Auf der überdachten Terrasse steht ein Tisch mit 6 Stühlen, der perfekte Sitz für einen wundervollen Ausblick zum Genießen. Auch im Haus war alles TipTop! Sehr gepflegte Betten und ausreichend Handtücher und Badetücher. Wir haben uns superwohl gefühlt und können dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen. "
